News flash! SCCA will manage the education program for CANM/CAVM for the 2018-2019 school year! Anne Beach and Diane McBride have been diligently writing grants and looking for sponsorships to fund the program. We estimate that we need $15,900.00 to pay Educators to run the program.
How can you help?
- Click here to donate for the Educating Today for Future Protection campaign. Look in the “Special Events” section. Or, you can send a check to PO Box 113, Cortez 81321. Be sure to specify your donation for education.
- Would you like to be an Educator? If you have a background with school children, an understanding and appreciation for Ancestral Pueblo culture, and a penchant for fun with kids, this very part-time gig might be for you! Although some groups visit in the fall, the “crunch” time is April and May. These are paid positions. See the job description here. Contact Diane at email@example.com or 970-560-1643 for more information.
- Know a classroom teacher? SCCA will have a Teachers Open House on Saturday, September 15, 1:00 – 5:00, to introduce the curriculum and the field trip process to our local schools.
